First edition of GreenWINE, a scientific congress which will take place in Verona on May 19th and 20th, 2025, in connection with Enoforum.
GreenWINE welcomes scientific contributions from viticulture and oenology, and wants to extend its content to other disciplines that contribute to the achievement of the current objectives of grape and wine production: we therefore ask you to disseminate the call for abstracts within your research group but also to researchers in other departments or universities who you know have carried out studies that fall within the congress topics described below:
CLIMATE CHANGE RESILIENCE Limit the impact of drought, extreme meteorological events, heat waves; prevent and manage wine unbalanced composition, microbial contamination, product instability.
LOW INPUT PRODUCTION Novel technologies (analytical, sensing and big data, robotics, etc.) and strategies to reduce the use of fertilizers, pesticides, wine preservatives, fuel, energy and water; improved solutions for packaging, storage and delivery, circular economy approaches to grape and wine production.
SUSTAINABLE BUSINESS MANAGEMENT Match market trends and production costs, personnel availability, regulatory obligations; Sustainable business model; corporate social responsibility and corporate sustainability; Environmental and social performance measurement; Sustainable supply chain management; sustainable and circular products; consumer practices; upcycled food; digitalization, traceability, decarbonization.
* Oral Communication Abstracts must be submitted through the online submission form by January 17, 2025.
* Poster Abstracts are due by April 11, 2025, via the same submission platform.
